Meetings and Events
Each year, the Society presents a programme of events that includes speakers, presentations and celebrations of important occasions. These take place in our home at KATE, 86 Khandallah Road. Tours and outdoor activities are scheduled from time to time, and shared events by other historical organizations are publicised. There is an annual Christmas party, and our Annual General Meeting mid-year. Members, families and friends and the public are welcome to attend these events.

Ngaio Town Hall, Ngaio
Afternoon Tea to celebrate 100 years since the opening of Ngaio Town Hall
The Ngaio Crofton Downs Residents Association (NCDRA) in conjunction with the Onslow Historical Society and the goodwill of the Wellington City Council are hosting an afternoon tea.  Bakers are welcome to bring a plate.

Blue Plaque fundraising drive
In addition, NCDRA is launching a fundraising drive to put a Blue Plaque on the Hall.  Blue Plaques are organised by Historic Places Aotearoa, whose goal is to feature a plaque on every unique and significant heritage building and site in New Zealand, so New Zealanders and visitors gain an insight into our history. Please note the wording on the plaque picture will be different to that shown below, with the removal of the reference to "poll tax"
As plaques cost about $2500, NCDRA is calling for donations, which can be made to Ngaio Crofton Downs Residents Association Incorporated
(NCDRA)   12-3223-0086781-00.
